How to consign your gear
We accept gear for ANY SEASON, ANYTIME. That means it's OKAY to bring down your puffies and rain jackets and -40C sleeping bags in July! We will gladly accept your bikinis and rash guards and hiking poles in the middle of winter! We want it to be as easy as possible for you to offload your unwanted gear exactly when you're ready to get rid of it.
If you need help thinking of items to consign, we’ve compiled a Consignment Checklist for you - It’s a list of the many (but not all!) items you can bring down to consign. Print it out to use as a reference as you go through your house.

Top-selling items
These items do really well in our shop, during any season of the year.
- Rain gear
- Puffy jackets
- Merino wool anything!
- Hats, toques, gloves
- Big outdoor brands like Patagonia, Arc'teryx, The North Face, Fjallraven, Peak Performance, Outdoor Research, Mountain Hardwear, MEC, REI to name a few. (Bonus points if it's VINTAGE!)
- Local/slow fashion brands like Anian, Shelter, ecologyst, Beaton, JIMI (not always "outdoorsy" but we support slow fashion)
- Workwear brands like Carhartt, Big Bill, Dickies, Viking, Helly Hansen
- Heritage brands like Stanfield's, Birkenstock, Blundstone, Redwing, XTRATUF
- Camping gear - tents, sleeping bags, cookware, knives and axes
- Backpacks of all sizes
- Dry bags
- Hiking poles
- Vintage anything!
- Wetsuits and surf gear
- Paddles - canoe, paddleboard, kayak
- Climbing shoes
- And REALLY niche items/brands that you might think nobody knows exists... someone does, I promise.
Drop-off Procedure
Get your gear ready - Ensure your items are clean and assess for defects, excessive wear, or missing parts. We accept outdoor gear, clothing, and footwear that is fully functional and in good or better condition. Please scroll down to see a list of items we DO NOT accept.
Bring in your gear* - Make your way to our shop with your assessed gear. Once you arrive we will set you up with an account while you read over and sign our Policies & Procedures. At this point we will start our pre-sort and separate your gear into 3 piles: Accept, No Thank You, and Bring Back.
*We are happy to come to you if you have a LOT of gear to drop off or have travel/mobility limitations. Reach out with the contact for and ask us about a PICK-UP.
The rest is on us! - We will price and tag your consignment items and get them on the sales floor as soon as the same day. We also choose some items to list here on our website. After that, our knowledgeable staff will help you get your gear sold.
PS: New consignors get a $10 voucher to spend in-store while we pre-sort your stuff!
Consignor Split (that's you!)
We offer a tiered consignor split % based on item price - basically, the more it's worth, the more you get back.
Getting your money
We post your consignment credit 7 days after the item has sold.
Your credit is worth 15% more when you spend it in store, or you can request a payout at the shop. Cash payouts are issued by cheque. If you're off Vancouver Island, we can mail your cheque for a $5 fee.
Items we DO NOT accept
After years in business, we’ve carefully refined our inventory to focus on the categories and brands our customers love most. We also don’t accept fast-fashion brands: We're serious about our commitment to more a thoughtful and sustainable economy.
